Hey Skye, thanks again for the kudos on the artwork. A GREAT software for you to play with at home and get a lot of use out of would be Corel Draw X3 which also comes with Corel PhotoPaint...which is what I use for just about everything. I am a graphic designer for my job and have used that software for 60 foot wide billboards, bus signs, invitations, business cards, photo editing, posters, logos, you name it! It's aslo pretty cheap, I see it listed for $159.00 on the corel site right now. http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Content/1150905725000
I have managed to squeeze a lot out of that little program and it is pretty user friendly. Since you are into the artsy stuff, trust me...you will have a blast with it.
Also, if you want to make animated images, you can go to www.blingee.com. It will allow you to alter one of your own images and animate it. You can then get a code to paste into your page. Now, I it works for myspace, here, I am still trying to figure that out. But I am here for different reasons, so it has not been on the top of my list of things "to do."
Hope this information was of some use to you and I hope you have Happy New Year! Stay safe...we always stay in. Plan on having a pit fire out back tonight, eating a lot of food and watching the damn ball drop. No snow, but at least the rain stopped. I like then rain in summer, not the winter. Yuck! Oh dear, I have left a small novel in return. :) Toodles!

Oh wow how fun!!!!! I was playing with my blog and publishing it and revising it (as I often do) and got a comment on it while it was still in progress -- LOLOL (Not that I was saying much)

Thanks for your neat suggestions, Malicious --- and yeah, $159 does sound VERY reasonable. When I got painter ("All Those Years Ago" --) it still came in a paint can! (I loved that) :-) That is so neat that you earn your living with your art -- it must be so fun to see your artwork on huge billboards etc! WOW! I earn a bit with my art but not much -- nothing like what you do.

I hope you saw my post in time to see that I say HI to you in it lolol (You may have already come, commented, and gone by then) lol

Cool Animations Auroaskye Happy New Years.
I wish I could figure out how to animate images. I made this doodle called Tears for disposable Pixels and I would really love to animate the rain drops, mud puddles and blood flow.

Ok Skye, I did a little test at the www.blingee.com site. If you create an animated graphic there, you can select the size and get the code for blogger. You just copy the code and paste it into a posting. Warning, the put a blingee tag on the bottom of the picture....I put a border around the one I did tonight, so not to cover up any of the picture. You can find it there on top. Give that a whirl. You can download any image you have on your hard drive.
Good luck!
